Singing Water Vineyards

Singing Water Vineyards sits on the banks of Bruins Creek just south of Comfort, its tasting room built into a barn that has stood on the property for over 140 years. Dick and Julie Holmberg planted the first Merlot vines back in 1998 and bonded the winery in 2004, putting them among the early names on the Hill Country wine trail. The vineyard’s “Freedom” label is a standing tribute to veterans and active-duty service members, a fitting echo of the stories of service this magazine has long made room for.
